Summary: Back in the 80s, we saw what happens when you put an average teen, a disillusioned horror show host, and a ton of toothy vampires (and one werewolf) in one place. But now, we see something a bit less insane than that. Just a bit, though.

History: There have been vampires across the world for quite some time. But this story mostly follows the victims of the Dandrige bloodline. The misadventures of Charley Brewster are fraught with him getting attacked by those in this family, his friends getting turned into vampires themselves, and at least two assists from a guy named Peter Vincent.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Jerry Dandrige, after some of his minions are killed, gets offed himself when he's both set on fire by the sunlight and staked in the heart. Then his relative Gerri, implied heavily to be the Blood Countess herself, is killed when Charley, after being briefly converted into a vampire, uses his sonic-scream to break all the windows and expose the villainess to sunlight, burning her to nothing.

Powers/Abilities: A curse-transferring bite, incredible senses/strength, a healing factor, echolocation, sonic-screaming, the ability to grow massive teeth.

Weakness: Holy water, stakes to the heart, garlic, sunlight. Also, if the lead vampire is killed, any vamp still alive will turn human again.

Scariness Factor: 4-Just like before, the vampires here are toothy and vile creatures. They may not be as diverse when it comes to their game-faces, but they still get the job done in leaving one bloody mess after another. The sequel features more traditional vampires, though.

Trivia: -The first film may have been financially and critically successful, but being in a dump month, having poor advertising, and not been screened for critics pretty much screwed over any chances of a true sequel. The next film was a home release, and it feels like just another remake in a way.

-Hillariously, Jerry's original actor, Chris Sarandon, gets a cameo as one of this Jerry's victims.
